Michelin at the 2024 Scottish Six Days Trial

In a tradition dating back to 1909, the world of motorcycle trials once again sees the focus turn to the Scottish Six Days Trial and its base for the event, Fort William, on the shores of Lock Linnhe, Scotland. Organized by the Edinburgh & District Motor Club Ltd, starting on Monday the 6th of May and closing on Saturday the 11th of May 2024 the town embraces the event and its many followers from around the globe as it comes alive to the sound and activity of motorcycle trials.

Dougie Lampkin MBE (Vertigo)

After the return of the event in 2022 from the difficult Covid-19 pandemic the success of the Scottish Six Days in 2023 further endorsed the reputation of this competition. This is the largest modern day trials event in the world which offers 288 international entrants six days of riding in this mountainous Highland location. It covers a large and varied terrain to test the most capable of riders with a total of 158 sections covered over the demanding 500-mile course.

As in previous years, Michelin, in association with Trials Magazine, will be bringing live information on the morning of each of the six days with Nevis Radio based in the ‘Parc Ferme’ start area. Hosted by John Weller and supported by John Moffat, the show, a registered charity also supports the local communities, will include live rider interviews, along with the latest SSDT news on its hugely popular radio station which has been associated with the event since 1996.
