Jack Price and Michelin Win at the Scottish Six Days Trial 2024

2024 Scottish Six Days Trial Winner Jack Price (Sherco-GBR)

It was a very happy Jack Price (Sherco-GBR) who took his first victory in his off-road motorcycle career at the 2024 Scottish Six Days Trial organised by The Edinburgh & District Motor Club this weekend. Nineteen of the top twenty riders used Michelin tyres and the success continued further down the order as the majority of the riders in an entry list of 288 competitors chose to use them for their durability and exceptional performance over the six days of this rugged competition played out around the base of the event at Fort William, Scotland.

In contention for the win from day one, Jack Price took the yellow leaders board on day four. Despite the pressure he remained calm as he was pushed all the way with Jack Peace in close contention in the final stages. Price secured the victory with a calculated performance, losing just a single mark on the final day. His final days performance with the single mark loss was matched by the second and third place finishers, Jack Peace and Harry Hemingway, as the fourth place finisher Toby Martyn won the Best Newcomer award losing no marks on day six.

In this male dominated sport, the event had five female competitors. The FIM TrialGP Women’s World Champion Emma Bristow MBE was again the leading lady as she laid claim to the Best Female Rider award. Also making full use of the Michelin tyres during the six days was the 18 year old rider Harry Hemingway on the 125cc Beta. Showing maturity well above his young age and on the smaller engine machine, he also won the award for the Best up to 125cc capacity award.

Winner Jack Price: “I am delighted to take my first win at this prestigious trial on my return to the event after a break since 2019. In such a high calibre event as this the Michelin tyres have once again proved to be the best choice as I have had maximum grip in all situations on the varied and testing terrain that this event offers. I would like to thank everyone who supports me and who has made this victory possible, this is the icing on the cake in my off-road career and one I have dreamt about from a very young age”.
