Full manufacturer support for 2023 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship
In an unprecedented show of support, for the first time ever all the main factories have thrown their collective weight behind the 2023 Hertz FIM Trial World Championship and joined the series as Official Bike Manufacturers.
The news is a huge thumbs-up for the series from the industry and means this year’s championship will now be backed by Beta, Honda, Montesa, Scorpa, Sherco and Vertigo.
The partnerships come hot on the heels of the renewal last month of GASGAS’ ongoing relationship with the Hertz FIM Trial World Championship and are the result of a series of very productive consultations during the off-season.
With 2023 seeing a number of changes to the championship aimed at making the sport more competitive and accessible, the across-the-board backing from the manufacturers is a clear vote of confidence that TrialGP is moving in the right direction.
All will benefit from digital and on-site brand exposure – along with the opportunities presented by the FIM’s new OTT platform via live broadcasts on fim-moto.tv – and there is the potential for a commercial area in the paddock at every TrialGP round which would bring exciting promotional opportunities as well as added value for spectators.
Fabio Muner, FIM Marketing and Digital Director, said: “This is a very exciting development which is testament to a lot of hard work behind the scenes during the off-season. There is a genuine feeling of unity in the paddock and a real sense of optimism surrounding the championship and the programme of changes we are implementing.”
Donato Miglio, Trial Manufacturers’ Representative, stated: “We are very happy to have reached an agreement between the Federation and all the motorbike manufacturers, acting collectively. We believe a lot in the development of the discipline and we think that by acting together the results are more and more satisfying. We are all excited to kick off the 2023 season.”
