Hope Technology add their support to DL12 Indoor Trial
Hope Technology, the industry leading Lancashire based bicycle component manufacturer is the latest company to offer its support to the inaugural DL12 Indoor Trial, which will take place on Saturday 7th January at the Utilita Arena Sheffield. Hope is confirmed as the exclusive bicycle sector partner for the 2023 event.
Founded in the late eighties by keen trials riders and engineers Ian Weatherill and Simon Sharp, Hope now exports around half of its production to forty different countries Worldwide. Over the last three decades their beautifully machined and hand-crafted components, which are designed, tested and manufactured in Barnoldswick, have gained an excellent international reputation for both quality and reliability.
As a brand that Dougie has been close to for many years, he was obviously pleased to have reached an agreement with Hope Technology: “Whenever we have a project Hope is always pleased to help and support us, be that for Pedal de Alps or the Isle of Man Wheelie they have been good to us over the years. Having them on board for the DL12 Indoor Trial is going to be great, especially when people get to see their purpose-built section that includes a few of their famous components, though on a much bigger scale to normal.”
Hope Co-Founder Ian Weatherill added: “Trials has been in our blood since the start and whilst Hope is best known for its bicycle parts and racing success, we have long been a loyal supporter of Dougie and his projects. We are extremely pleased to be part of this new event and to have the opportunity to build a section that really reflects the brand and that will have a legacy and sustainable element that will extend for years to come when it is repurposed for another use in the future.”
