Nice, third stop
Bou leads after back-to-back wins. Téo Colairo completes the field
Just a week on from the second Round of the 2024 season – X-Trial Chalon-Sur-Saône – the top seven in the Standings return to contest the second part of a French back-to-back as the series makes its return Nice. The Palais Nikaïa, to be precise, is the destination this coming Friday 22nd March, with action getting underway at 20:30 local time.
So far this season, Toni Bou (Repsol Honda Trial Team) is yet to concede a World Championship point, winning all three phases of competition in each of the opening Rounds. And with the two riders who have shared the podium with him, teammate Gabriel Marcelli and Jaime Busto (GasGas), taking points from one another, Bou sits seventeen clear of the pair.
Of these reigning Championship medallists, Bou is the only rider to have made the podium at the 2022 staging of X-Trial Nice; on that occasion he was accompanied on the rostrum by Adam Raga (Sherco) and Matteo Grattarola (Beta).
Raga sits outside of the top five in the current Championship Standings, behind Toby Martyn (Montesa) and Matteo Grattarola, and thus relied on a nomination to this third Round of the season. Sherco teammate Benoit Bincaz was also selected after his fifth-place finish in Chalon-Sur-Saône.
The Wild Card berth goes to Téo Colairo (Beta), who last appeared at X-Trial Nice in 2022, three years on from his World Championship debut at X-Trial Marseille in 2019.
Live the event as if you were there in person; all of the action is available live from the Palais Nikaia on www.x-trial.tv .
